Playing .mkv H.264 files

I can play .mkv files on the HD 100 , MVP Extenders, Placeshifter and Client PC. When I try to play it on the Server I get a sage.PlaybackException: ERROR(-4,0x80040111): There was a problem rendering the video portion of the conent for playback. Ive tried different codecs for the H.264 Video Decoder Filter in Settings, but no luck. Anyone have any ideas to get this to work on the Server?. Thanks

Will it play in WMP?

You might need to install an MKV splitter, like Haali Media Splitter.

Thanks, I am getting closer. I just installed Haali Media Splitter. No error and I am getting Audio. No Video yet.

What H.264 decoder are you using? If you have Win7 you should be able to use the MS decoder. If not I think you will have to install one. The Divx H.264 decoder is the easiest to install and is free. Media Player Classic Home Cinema has a decoder that is also free, you can download the MPC-HC filters and manually install the H.264 decoder. FFDShow also has a decoder, but I'm not sure if it uses hardware acceleration or not.
