“No Signal” on all stations but tuner works?
SageTV has started reporting “No Signal” on all stations. I use the software that came with my Digital Home Run tuner and find that the signals work just fine. I have the recordings going to a dedicated partition, and it is close to filling up. I thought SageTV was supposed to auto-delete recordings as space is needed. The operating system is XP, and the computer is a relatively fast. What could be the problem, and how do I debug it?

Appendix C in the SageTV PDF manual explains what recordings can be automatically deleted & in which order. If you have no recording space remaining, SageTV will not be able to create new recordings.
On the other hand, did you perform a channel scan on all the digital tuners when you set them up? If not, that could be your problem. - Andy

Try delete some files and defrag the drive.
May I ask what drive are you using? WD Green? http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45105

The hard drives are 300GB Seagate Barracuda drives. I have two in a RAID 1 configuration. The controller is the on board Intel disk controller.
How do I get the SageTV error messages? |

I just got my extender to work wireless and tried go back to the PC to do a recording or show live TV, but the Sage Media Center reports "no signal" for ALL channels on BOTH tuners in my HDHR200. The HDHR200's QuickTV shows the video just fine. What do I need to do to get Sage to work again (it WAS working before I got the extender connected)?
PS. I am trying to play the live TV on the PC, NOT the Extender. |
