encoder_merit?

I have 4 250's installed right now... I want to set the highest priority to #2.

Looking in the properties file I only show 3 encoder_merit settings under a encoder. What ishe first section of properties that aren't listed under an encoder name/encoder number. Is that like a default values section? and doesn't pertain to a paticular encoder?


and what is a higher priority? 1 or 4? I think I rememeber reading that 4 is higher priority... but I'm only showing 3 merit settings unless I count the first one that doesn't seem to have an assosiated encoder.

I can post the properties file if this doesn't make any sense...

Higher number = higher priority. I have one set to 5 and one set to 0. I don't know that I understand your "3" merit settings.

Thanks for the info.... I thought I had set it that way, but I"m still got getting the priority like I think I should. I must have the wrong encoder set.

As far as the other stuff... I think I understand what I so poorly described. I was looking at the:

mmc/encoders/1642691032/video_capture_device_name=Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Capture

mmc/encoders/1642691032/video_capture_device_num=0

And thought that was the top of the config for that encoder, but actaully the merit setting is ABOVE the NAME, and DEVICE number and not below it. That would explain my problems.
