little help with girder . . .

Trying to get girder working with the Hauppauge Silver remote.

I installed girder, enabled sendmessage and installed the Hauppauge remote plug in.

In the status bar I see sendmessage enabled and I can see girder confirming my remote presses.

I am using stranger89's gml file and I've tried others.

From what I've read I believe I have the target set correctly but I guess not (image attached). I've even tried setting the target to 'foreground task' and making Sage the active window and I'm still not reaching Sage.

If I quit Girder and immediately start IR32 then the remote works so I know that's all ok.

When I check the target settings by using 'Find', it seems to find the active Sage window, but the commands still aren't being passed.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

peace . . .

My Girder target is different. Try:
Name: SageWin
Class Name: SageApp
Executable: SageTV.exe

That helped a little, thanks.

So now If I select 'test command' from any command context menu then sage receives the command.

However it doesn't work with the remote, EVEN tho girder is reporting the right key presses when I am pressing the buttons. They just don't get passed along.

I feel like I'm a ticked option away, but still not quite there. Its as if I have both sides working but just not with each other.

I presume you have learned the remote keys for your remote? Unless you use the identical remote to strange89, otherwise you have to set each button on the remote to a corresponding girder event.
I am real new with girder myself, but I think this is the course that you need to take.

That was it all right. Apparently I had at least two problems.

I thought I was a mouse click away and instead I have a few hundred although its worth it to map out your own remote.

Since girder was reporting the right button presses, I didn't realize I had to 'teach' it each command (given the plugin).

Thanks all.

peace...
