Top Gun BluRay issue

Has anyone figured out how to rip Top Gun on BluRay? When I rip with AnyDVD and then watch in Sage, all I've got is the 2.5 hour documentary about the making of Top Gun, not the movie itself. Any advice on how to get the actual movie??? All other BluRays work fine.

Have you used BDInfo and tsMuxer? You'll probably have to use these two to remove the unwanted tracks like the Commentary video and sound. A lot of users do this on every one of their bluray rips to save space. If you just import the whole ripped disc, you risk running into the problem you are having. Sage will automatically play the longest file.

This is an issue of how Sage detects which playlist is the 'main movie' for playback. It chooses the longest playlist on the disc. Your best option would be to use ClownBD to select the actual playlist you want, and rip just that.

Yes! That did the trick. I rip the bluray using AnyDVD, then used BDClown to extract just the main movie, which now plays properly in Sage. Thanks so much for the help! Merry Christmas...

Clown_BD is a nice program and I was impressed with it. I can usually get the job done with TsmuxeR alone since most of the movies I see seem to have TrueHD tracks with them. That is probably why I recommend it first. Anyways, glad you got it going. Taking the step to bluray seems to be a big speed bump for most people. I know I had trouble when I first started.

Just a word to ease you work a bit. You don't have to RIP the drive with AnyDVD first. As long as AnyDVDHD is running, you can point BDClown directly to the disc itself (AnyDVD removes protection on the fly, not just in its ripping software... really, the ripping feature is no different then drag and drop from in explorer).
