Using the Hauppauge 350 remote with USBIRT

I'm using USBIRT for other applications. It has much better IR sensitivity than the 350 IR solution.
Can I use the 350 remote talking to USBIRT controlling Sagetv.
I saw the instructions for configuring SageTv with USBIRT.
I'm unsure about using the 350 remote.

Aren't you already using a remote with the usb-uirt, or are you only using it to transmit currently?

And... for anyone who does use the Hauppauge remote w/a usb-uirt, do you have a problem getting it to recognize 2 of the same button presses in a row? (The Hauppauge remote uses a toggle-style IR code, so multiple presses of the same button result in alternating codes. Pressing different buttons one at a time wouldn't be a problem.)

no, I'm not yet usig with a remote. The Hauppauge would be just an intermediate step. I'm thinking about a Pronto (long term)

Yes... in the long run, I think you'll be much better off using some other remote. The Hauppauge remote's 34 buttons just seem too limited. You'll be much happier with more buttons/greater control. I know I am.
