Sorting Guide

Im pretty sure I've seen this asked somewhere in the forums, but I have been unable to find it this morning. Can you sort the guide by catergories? or is this a feature request in the waiting?

Kids/sports/movies... Would like to be able to sort them so when I'm looking for a acceptable kids show for my daughter I don't have to start at channel 2 and go through almost 400 looking at every Disney,Nick, and everyother kids station in the world!

I don't remember seeing that exact request before, though it has been requested to have sorting options on the Sage Recordings screen. Sounds like something you could submit for future consideration... they may not implement a suggestion, but it is much less likely to be added if they never hear about it.

For the LiveTV Guide, though, you don't have to scroll through the entire list -- just enter the channel number you want to go to & hit enter/OK. the Guide jumps to that channel. (The Guide changes to that channel; it doesn't start playing the channel.)

I submited it a long time ago. They did provide it in versions before .14 in the section where you schdule recordings. The problem was that it was for ALL the guide data. I just wanted to see todays listings in a catagory view.

yeah I know I can jump to a channel... but just seems like you should be able to put all the shows rated as Children, or Drama, or Sports and line them up.

Or do like my dish receiver does... you can have up to 5 profiles and show only the channels you want to show... would be a good thing to rotate through a Dad, Mom, Kids list. Just makes sense... I will submit it again.. just to be sure its not forgotten!
