PS3 View Recordings
Hello,
I have sagetv server running on my hp mediaserver 495 which is a home server. it is recording shows fine, but i would like to be able to watch them on my ps3. when I try and watch them the video comes in, but there is no audio. I am guessing i need to later the format of the audio as the audio and video work fine if i watch i on a pc. Any suggestions on how to get this to work with my ps3 preferably without doing any transcoding as I don't know if the machine can handle it? Thanks.

I'm having exactly the same problem. I can access anything previously recorded in SageTV from my Playon video file on the PS3 and get the video portion fine but no audio. I checked the PS3 documentation and it will play Mpeg2 with AC3 audio which is what I'm recording with SageTV but haven't been able to solve the problem. One interesting note: I have found I can almost watch SageTV QAM in "real" time on PS3 by starting to record a show, waiting 2-3 minutes for the recording file to build up and then beginning to watch on the PS3. We need to find a solution for the audio, PS3 is to good to not be able to interface with SageTV. Help us evilpenguin!
