They still call it "beta". v1.4 is still the release version & trial version.

I'll have to take some time to look over the new site layout later... looks pretty good so far.

Just sitting here at work (empty on the holiday) and thought - let me hit the site and see what's up.... Yikes! I was blown away. Such a huge change, and so thoroughly/deeply done. Most impressive. I take it this is the "April Surprise" mentioned elsewhere?

Very well done guys.

Looks good, but I wish site designers would hard-code a width in. ::sigh::

Yeah, I'm not sure I understand. I usually despise it when designers hardcode the width of a site. That is really the beauty of the system... the client makes the presentation decisions. That way someone on a 14" monitor running at 800x600 can use the same site as a person with a 22" monitor at 1600x1200 and it works well for both.

Or do you mean something more specific like img tags missing dimensions?

Everytime someone designs a website with a hard-coded width, a puppy's foot gets stepped on. Just my personal opinion.

Oddly enough...

I'm getting an error when I goto the website:

Line: 134
Char: 5
Error: 'is_opera' is undefined
Code:0
URL: http://www.sage.tv/support.html

This is happening on multiple XP machines for me. *SIGH* Anyway, just figured I'd mention it.

Fixed widths don't work well when you're surfing at fullscreen with a high resolution, because there is wasted space on the sides. With a little effort, it's possible to have "stretchy" HTML that will be properly formatted for any size. HTML can specify content, and the browser can supply the formatting.

In other words, in your other post you meant that you "wish site designers would NOT hard-code a width in", right? The word 'not' was missing...
