Would it be worth it?
New to SageTV.
Currently just have 1 PC - 1 STB (SD not HD) - 1 TV (HD) setup. Is the purpose of a Media Extender just for multiple TVs using just 1 PC? Any benefits for a 1 to 1 setup? Does it upconvert SD to provide better quality?

Many are using it for single TV setups. The advantage is better playback. You don't need to worry about if you download the newest driver/video decoder how that is going to affect your playback. It just always play backs back flawlessly. The other advantage is you can get away with a much less powerful server (at least from a video palyback standpoint) which should mean less power!
