Wrong maps being updated
I have two types of tuners in my system, a pair of HD-Homeruns, and 2 hd-pvr's (attached to digital STBs). I had set up the hdhr's first, and their EPG lineup is "Comcast Digital - Berkeley". I set up the hpdvr's later, and the EPG lineup that they share is called "video0 component". Of course the maps are different, with the hdpvr map using logical channel numbers to tune the STBs (channel 702 is really 702) and the hdhrs are mapped to the QAM channels (702 is on 75.2, I think).
The problem is that when sage updates my channel lineup (not sure what triggers this), it updates the hdhr lineup instead of the hdpvr lineup. So, recently it added a bunch of new HD stuff up in the 800's for the hdhr's, which can't tune those channels, but didn't add them for the hdpvr's which can tune them. What can I do to get both maps updated properly? I'm on linux, if that matters. Thanks for any help with this. |

I'm not on Linux but I split my providers. For my HDHRs I use a neighboring Comcast lineup that fairly well duplicates the lineup for my zip code. Once the channel scan is done in Sage I enable the channels I use and remap the channels numbers to the guide numbers. So that 84-1008-1 becomes 232. (or whatever it is). The HD-PVR is set to my zip code with my Comcast lineup. This way when new channels are added it will change channel to the correct number in the guide once I enable them.
