Having Trouble Recording Two Shows at Same Time

This problem has been fixed... See below...

Hi All,
I hope I can explain this OK. I have my SageTV using two Avermedia A180 tuners. Each tuner is connected to an antenna on the roof. Everything is OTA. No cable, etc... Each antenna is pointed towards a different city. Some of the stronger stations get received by both antennas, but I have edited the channel setups so that each tuner only has that one cities stations enabled. Any doubles appearing on the other tuner are disabled.

I can record two shows at once if each show is on a station that appears exclusively on each tuner (no disabled Stations).

But if I try to record two different shows at the same time, where one of them is a station that is also one of the disabled stations on the other tuner, I get a recording conflict. The two shows in question ARE on different tuners. It appears that even though some stations are disabled, SageTV is still seeing the disabled station and flagging it as a conflict. That's my guess anyway.

I see that I can add stations manually to a channel setup. Is there a way to delete a single station from the channel setups? Maybe a file that can be manually edited?

If not, would remapping the disabled station fix this? If so, what type of remapping (Logical or physical)?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Bobbyding

What version of Sage are you using?

Did you set up each source to use different guide data or the same? If you use the same guide data, you have the option of "Use or Copy an Existing Channel Lineup for this Source". You should select "Copy" to create a channel lineup that can be edited separately. If you do not have this option you need to upgrade Sage to v6.6.

If you have configured your system as above and it still does not work. You can try removing one of the sources and add it back in and select a different guide data source. You may not think that is an option for you, but many cable and satellite services provide local channels, just disable the rest.

Though I've never had your specific problem, multi-guide/lineup setup use to be the bane of my existence before v6.5 (or was it 6.4).

Thanks for the response.

SageTV Version is 6.6.2.218

The tuners use different guide data. One is Tampa. One is Orlando. After scanning for stations, each antenna/tuner does pick up it's designated city, as well as few of the stronger stations from the other city. When for example, an Orlando station shows up on the Tampa tuner, it shows up with it's channel number and call sign, but no details beyond that. It's presents however, is enough to cause this issue. If there were a way to delete these "Phantom" listings, or to tell SageTV to show ONLY listed channels. I think it would solve the issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Bobby

Fixed. I made a list of the presently selected stations on each tuner, then deleted the EPG's for both tuners. Re-installed the listings using LOCAL (instead of Digital or analog) and did not preform a channel scan. That gave me just the intended stations for each tuner. No phantoms. There are a couple sub channels missing from the local listings, but they are not important. I may try to add them manually later.

Thanks for your time!...

Bobby
