HDHR detected stop in recording but fine when manually tuned --Fixed
I have a HDHR for OTA and I have been unable to record anything since recently formatting the boot drive, reinstalling windows and the latest SageTV software. I setup and scanned channels on the HDHR within SageTV. I was able to select channels out of the guide or watch Live TV and everything worked fine. I checked all channels and sub channels and everything is fine.
Then I set a bunch of recordings and come back a few days later and every single one gets a "Sage detected a Halt while recording" message. No shows successfully record. I think there must be something wrong with HDHR but I go into the guide and Live TV to watch channels and everything works just fine. This process has repeated several times and I've tried a few things like removing all plug-ins, reboots, reset HDHR, turned off hard drive sleep. Any other ideas? And are you using the latest HDHR software of 20091024? Are you using your previous wiz.bin or is it a totally clean install?

Using previous Win.biz, yes i have latest HDHR drivers.
On another note why was this moved to the hardware section when: 1. There are multiple Halt while recording posts in the main support thread. 2. It does not seem to be a hardware issue if whoever moved it actually bothered to read the post. This thread is not for troubleshooting software issues. |

The "bunch of recordings" you're doing-are they all manual recordings or are they existing favorites? (Existed from the previous wiz.bin.)

In case anyone cares, I fixed this. The problem was a corrupt Java update (yes I quit SageTV and the service before updating). Once I removed and reinstalled Java the problem was fixed.
