A7n266?

Hi,

Is anyone using the (old) ASUS A7N266-VM motherboard for a client box? I'd be interested in your experiences with it, as it seems like an excellent low-cost cheap integrated board. It's an nForce board with the MCP-D (Soundstorm) digital sound and s/pdif out, and also does TV out through a riser card.

I had one setup as a server, 2 hard drives, 3 PVR 250s, Athlon 2000+ XP, 256mb Geil memory.
I changed the cpu last week and since then it has not booted, did everything I knew to troubleshoot it and have eventually RMA'ed the board this morning. Was working great before the cpu change, rock solid, reckon I got unlucky when I switched cpu's.

It is what I am going to do when I rebuilt my server. Nforce seems to work pretty well, and I like Nvidia driver support...

I'm using the A7N266-VM/AA (AMD Assured version): WinXP Pro SP1, 512MB, 2 drives, PVR350, SB Live 5.1, Radeon 7200, and Athlon 2400+ which I upgraded recently from a 1GHz Thunderbird. Rock solid board.
