random crashes

We're having the random crashes too. Newest version of Sage downloaded & installed on my newly formatted hard drive. Never had these in 6.5.

System: AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core (not sure of speed at this time, but fast)
Windows XP SP 3, 1 TB HDD (Main) & 1 TB HDD (Capture, solely for Sage),
4 GB Ram (XP of course reports 3), 850w power supply, Diamond ATI Radeon 4670HD PCI Express Graphics Card (brand new), Pinnacle 800i PCI TV Tuner Card, Hauppage WinTV HVR 2250 Dual Turner Card, only Norton 360 v3.0.

Also was having problems getting sound working correctly, but I think I just got that licked. All of our favorite shows had very loud music but no dialog, and commercials were fine. Right now, watching Fringe recorded last night, perfect sound. Go figure.

Other problems

Sorry for hijacking this, but....
We are experiencing a weird problem now....our recordings are freezing. We'll be watching, and it just stops playing. Fastforward and it just shows the picture that was on the screen when it froze. No crashes, no errors, etc.

Did you format the drive with 64k block size?

Crashes

The capture drive is formatted with 64k blocks, but the main drive is formatted per whatever is "normal". We had one crash of Sage so far today.

See what the debug log contains.

I just sent some potentially relevant log information to the betatest address at Sage for this. I've now had this happen to me once on a (non-live) recording, but considered that one a possible hangup from a scheduled recording concluding around that time.

It has now happened at least twice more to others while watching programs as they were recorded, since upgrading to latest server patch. The most recent one happened while I was on my WHS box via Remote Desktop. It locked up the remote desktop feed for several seconds(didn't time it to give a more exact count) before it came back and resumed working normally. The timing on that one was such that timed recordings starting/stopping could not be faulted as a cause as none were in progress at the time.

edit: 64K block size on all drives in the WHS storage pool.
