TBS DVB-S2 PCI card

Hi,

I bought 2 of these cards (got them cheap so took a risk really) they get recognised in MCE but dotn find any channels.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Definition-D.../dp/B002GIPK6I

Made by TBS model number 8920.

sage TV might be the solution for me, I will buy it if it works (because it seems great, and will save me buying new hardware)

Sage see's my card, sees it as DVB-S and lets me choose the correct satalite (28.2E), then it shows a window asking for several frequencys, ive no idea what it wants here, or what any og them mean ?

I leave that blank and pres Ok then it fails to find any channels. scanning takes a few seconds and it just says it didnt find anything.

Any help appreciaed , I have 21 days to get SageTV running as I would like it to before I decide to buy it, the place shifting and server/client model are brilliant so hopfully I will get there :-)

I have a TBS 6920 DVB-s/DVB-s2 pci-e card which is similar to your 8920. I can confirm this card works with SageTV. I am able to watch both dvb-s and dvb-s2 channels. I am not sure if a Diseqc switch will work in SageTV with this card, but I can confirm that a 22Khz switch will work.

Are you referring to this window? See attachment.

LOF1: Lo MHz for LNB
LOF2: Hi MHz for LNB
LOF SW: 0=22KHz tone off(uses LOF1), 11700=22KHz tone on(uses LOF2)

Diseqc switch port 1:
TOS1:A
TOS2:A
Diseqc switch port 2:
TOS1:A
TOS2:B
Diseqc switch port 3:
TOS1:B
TOS2:A
Diseqc switch port 4:
TOS1:B
TOS2:B

Try connecting the coax cable from the TBS card directly to the LNB. Then try these settings:

LOF1:9750
LOF2:10600
LOF SW:11700
TOS1:Not Set
TOS2:Not Set

tbs 6920

I have bought a tbs 6920, but i am having problems as well, media centre see the card but when you scan it doesn't pick up any signals, i have swapped the lnb coax cable from my sky box and put that directly to the card, so i am looking at the astra 28e sat. i dont think it any thing to do witht the lnb side.

It come with the blaze software as well but it doesnt pick any thing up in that as well, when scanning all the satellites at all freqencies,

any ideas?
