How to use LIVE PREVIEW in SAGETV

Salut,

What i do not like at Sage and MCE is that no LIVE PREVIEW option on tuner.
I use an Leadtek PxPVR2200, with hardware encoder, on my default pvr i could use Live PReview or Hardware Mode.

If i use Live Preview in my default PVR i have the best image i could get.
SageTV use hardware mode in live-tv, no live preview, that i do not like.

In live preview hardware decoder it's bypassed, it's not use at all.
In live preview image has sharpness, in Hardware Mode is too soft.

There are an sage plugin that enable Live Preview?

99% of my time i use sagtv in an window when i browse on internet... a lot of users do that.

no, because of the way sage works, it is not possible. It would also remove pretty much all features of sage to use in this way (recording, time-shifting, etc). If your image quality is THAT much different between the preview and encoded pin, it sounds like you need to up the quality settings in sage. Also, you may be using a poor quality MPEG decoder.

The only differences is that in Live preview i have a lot of sharpness , in Hardware mode is very soft, just like in Mediacenter.
Sharpness Filter makes image very good, but also image in Sagetv in hardware mode is very good, except to little sharpness, i try go up with sharpness in driver, but also is too little.
I have an leadtek tuner, PxPVR2200, the best analog tuner i ever had, Sage i see is very optimise for haupphage, maybe with an haupphage i see good level of sharpness in hardware mode in sage.

Here is 1 picture,
http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/3...r2picture2.jpg

First is in WINFASTPVR2( default Leadtek PVR) in Live Preview, image is very good in reality, in the picture is not so good, but as you see i have a lot of sharpness.

Here is 2 picture:
http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/594/sagetv.jpg

SageTV picture, no sharpness at all compare to WinfastPVR2.

And 3 picture,

KM PLAYER, Live Preview Mode, nice image, sharpness.

And 4 picture:

ChrisTv in Live Preview, ChrisTv has the best image of all pvr that exist in Live preview, but has some bugs in Win7 and sound mode,

maybe when looking at these 4 pictures some guys think that SageTv image are best, that guy that like softness, but, for an old guy like me, 30 years, that we use 10-13 years tv-tuner without hardware encoder, with some artifacts on image, bad conexant chipset, and a lot of sharpness...we are too familiar with Live Preview Mode, we like Live Preview and a lot of sharpness, and also the image that get from an CRT TV compare to LCD.

We like also watching live-tv in an little window when navigate net, yahoo mess, etc an window like winamp, christv, even sagetv, kmplayer, no MEDIACENTER STILE, Mediacenter is for use with an remote for an distance, from an couch.... a lot of users stay at an desk and watch live-tv on computer in an window.

What you call sharpness, I call noise and bad scaling. The live preview stuff just looks blocky and noisy to me. I don't see any additional "sharpness", not real sharpness, just artifacts.

SageTV is a PVR, it's designed for using a remote from the couch to watch stuff it's recorded, not for just having liveTV going in a window on your PC while you do other things.
