Upgraded to Vista x64 - replacement capture card

Hi, I've recently upgraded my operating system to Vista 64-bit. Now my Hauppauge PVR-250 does not work anymore. Hauppauge said they would release a driver for x64, 4 years ago, and still nothing.

My question is: what would a good replacement card be? I need something that inserts closed captioning into the MPEG2 user data. I have 8GB ram, and from what I have read, some Hauppauge cards will not work for me now?

Frustrating. Please help. Thanks!

Make sure your system has less than 4 GB of RAM. Those cards won't work with 4 or more.

Well since I obviously do not want to remove ram, what are the other options? It took forever to find that card. Are there any other cards that insert the closed captions into the mpeg stream?

Thank you

I posted a link in another post to drivers on the UK siite that MIGHT work with 4 GB or better of RAM. But other than that, there are no other options Im aware of. Hauppague were the only cards that inserted the cc into the mpeg stream.

Decided on Hauppauge HVR-1600. It works perfectly with 8GB RAM and inserts closed captions into the mpeg2 stream. Just updating for people who might look, before buying, for a solution in the future.
