Sort by ShowID

Is there any mechanism to support sorting the shows by ShowID? I've noticed due to schedule tweaks and some lame networks that several of the shows I've recorded are out of order, and going in to view the details of each one is a bit of a hassle. Even being able to manually reorder them would be great, if that's possible...

Also, it seems that many things can be tweaked via the .properties file - is there a file or document somewhere that describes what they all do, or are they sort of 'discovered' when needed? Just wondering...

Being able to sort the recordings by your chosen criteria is something that has been requested, but I seriously doubt we will see it in the initial V2 release & I have no idea if it will be added later since there has not been any 'official' response that I know of.

As for the properties file, some of the settings are documented here. Others get mentioned on the forums at times. A complete guide would certainly be useful.

If you mention something in partuicular you would like to do, perhaps someone will be able to say if it can be done.

oh you have got to be kidding me!
People cry about two paned windows
and features like sorting recorded files, real fast foward and rewind, skip commercial are left out .......
I am not really mad more dissappointed and shocked
that this type of issue are not going to be resolved
do not get me wrong I think it would be awesome to have the two paned window back but these type of basic features should not be ignored

Keep in mind that I do not know the actual plans that Frey has for SageTV, so I am only going on what I read in the forums & in the beta's release notes... therefore what I doubt will be in the V2 release is just my opinion, not a firm fact.

Even though I'm the one who started this, I still have to say Frey kicks butt in solving these things - I just wanted to point it out, otherwise it may never be addressed. As a Tivo owner since about the time they originally came out, and watching them take two years to add folders to the thing and that's what they call a 2.0 - it's night and day. I watched the forums on the Tivo newsgroups, posted my own suggestions, and slept well in the knowledge that no one who had any power at Tivo would ever do anything users suggested - they never even managed to add something to indicate free space! Pathetic.

Since I've been a Frey user (which is since beta .13, not a long time), I've already seen several of my issues addressed - even though I don't think they were addressing my specific ones (I'm sure others had them before me), it shows that Frey actually listens to their uses...

So, if it doesn't make it into 2.0, I just hope that the 3.0 beta will begin soon after, and that it will be open as the 2.0 one has been....
