eh, if it works for you i guess.. still It seems the reason it's so hard to upgrade for you is that it is so complex of a system. I guess it's off topic, but it seems this topic is finished anyways, but why not run everything off of the single V6 server?

Well, it was not really hard to upgrade, I just had to find a compatible tuner. The V6 server is designed for the specific funtion of being a frontend for an HTPC. The main v4 server has three Hauppauge PVR 150s handling three DirecTV set-top boxes and 2 PCI OTA HD Tuners, and serves the 4 (or 5) clients. The other v4 system has a PVR-150 (with a DireTV receiver) and now two OTA HD tuners, but does not serve clients, as it's just the Fitness Room system.

The single DirecTV receivers on the v6 and Fitness Room v4 system also are used for live viewing when not in use by the respective Sage servers. Consolidating all of the systems to one would be counterproductive with respect to (deliberately) segregating the content of the systems and allowing flexibility as well as moving the capture sources (the DirecTV receivers) from locations where they get other use.

So really, by breaking this down into three systems it is actually less complex than it would be otherwise...

if you say so.. to me, consolidating everything onto a single system, so the content can be easily accessed anywhere, is FAR less complex. I guess if you have people in the household who don't like using sage, and are stuck to using the dish boxes directly, this could cause a problem, but i still don't see how this split system is LESS complex. Since you already have server licenses on the two v4 servers, you wouldn't even have to move them to use, as you could run those servers in network encoder mode, which would serve those encoders up to the main server.
