Fanart + Individual Episodes Question...
I read in the FAQ that the locations for fanart for TV shows are as follows:
TV/SeriesName/Backgrounds TV/SeriesName/Posters TV/SeriesName/Banners TV/SeriesName/Season #/Backgrounds TV/SeriesName/Season #/Posters TV/SeriesName/Seaons #/Banners Does this mean that there is no way to provide episode-specific fan art options? (i.e. all episodes in a given season have to share all the data)? Thanks in advance for anyone who wants to assist me :-). I'm actually in the process of writing a windows service that does some file system monitoring to actually detect whenever new media files are added and automatically download/update all the fanart (and create .properties files) based on a fairly heavily modified version of the code released for the 'Media Browser' plug-in for Windows Media Center. Also - another random tangent -- do the .properties files always have to be in the same folder as the actual media files (with the name of the media file + ".properties". |

No need to write a service, they have already been written. I prefer Sage Job Queue, or SJQ for short. I have it set up to do exactly what you are asking. I tried DirMOn2, which supposedly can do the same thing, but I liked SJQ better myself.
As for the fanart, I'm not sure sorry, I'm still converting to a central location, so all my files are still next to the media itself. |

Also - by 'when new media files are added' - I meant in certain folders that were monitored.. not necessarily at the time they're imported in SageTV (again - because I needs to work independently :-). Also - not like it's a massive undertaking.. actually creating a windows service in .NET is pretty simple/straight forward... And I had all the code for collecting/saving metadata already written from when I changed Media Browser to use an SQL database rather than it's file-system based system for saving information.
