ion 330

I'm setting up a small Asrock ION 330as a client
linked to a plasma Panasonic 37" through an HDMI cable
(even if Pana says to use the vga to hook up to a PC).
Does anybody know which is (should be) the best codec
to use with this setup?

Can anybody point me to a good tutorial to try and learn
the basics of video on a PC, please?

Thanks.

Hi,

I also have the ASRock ION 330. I installed CoreAVC and PowerDVD 9 trial. I use the PowerDVD codec for sound as well.

Set "always_use_dshow_player=true" in your properties file and you are gold.

I will say however I find browsing through videos in the menu using SageMC at least is a bit slow.

Hope this helps.
