Hi folks,
Finally decided to plug in that optical cable that's been sitting on top of my STB for the past month. Per the STB manual, I went into settings and enabled Dolby Digital audio output. This apparently sends audio to HDMI, Optical, and Digital Output. I plugged the other end into my HD-PVR Optical Input. For good measure, I also unplugged all other (RCA) audio cables from both the STB and HD-PVR. No audio. I plug the RCAs back in, and voila...stereo. Theroetically, the RCA outputs shouldn't be getting signal when it's set to "Dolby Digital" output. Restarting everything didn't seem to help... Thoughts?

Did you rerun the source setup in Sage since there is an option there to select analog or spdif audio?

FIXED!
Nice, wayner...
I had to restart everything to get it to take, but simply changing that setting did the trick. Thanks for the tip! ![]()
