post 2.0 myHTPC integration feature request
I was wondering. While we are waiting for Studio, what if sage could accept some parameters like BTV. For example,
sage -guide - brings up sage on the live tv guide -recordings - brings it up on sage recordings -livetv - up in livetv mode -library - media library -jukebox - music jukebox With these, we could quickly and easily integrate with myHTPC, allowing those of us who wish to use both until Studio appears. Opinions? Last edited by jominor; 03-31-2004 at 09:42 PM. |

Command line operating would be great, especially for those running a HTPC frontend, like myHTPC.
So far, Sage is THE BEST PVR, but nowhere near as good for front end use as myHTPC, or XLobby, IMHO. The Jukebox won't play uncompressed wma, and other formats. The Jukebox also won't show cover art easily. The picture module is very lacking in features, and the library system is not independant based on the respective media. If you have jpegs for your movies, like when used with myHTPC, if that folder is used as an imported library, those cover art images will show up in the picture module. No weather module, in addition to many other modules that are commonplace in other front ends. So, if Studio is the Cat's Meow that some seem to think, maybe it will then be the ultimate HTPC application. I remain very dubious of that, though. Actually, I'm surprised that no one has started a thread about possible graphic designs for Sage. It would be interesting to see what people would like their Sage screens to look like! |
