Mevans,

This did work reliably, exactly as you said, until Friday, when Stephan's importer threw up an error parsing the XML file. Turned out be a bug in Alan Birtle's grabber which a beta patch fixed.

There is only one minor additional change to make & that is to the scheduled task created by Stepan's importer. You MUST change the properties so that the task runs with no use logged on.

Digiguide has not been reliably downloading the guide data. It's log file reports a number of errors, saying it cannot contact one or more of the download servers. This error seems to coincide with Digiguide pop-ups advising of new channels. If I accept or acknowledge the popups then the next time it's set to update it works fine.

Don't really know what to do to make this work reliably without being logged on to the WHS all the time.

I've never been aware of this problem. I think there is an option in a digiguide menu to stop the notification of new channels though.

I was still having problems with Digiguide not updating when not logged in. I'd tried setting Digiguide to update at a set time but this did not work reliably.

I contacted Digiguide tech support & they said you can force Digiguide to update on startup by calling digiguide /CheckForUpdates.

I've had this running for a while now & it appears to work.

I use scheduled tasks to start Digiguide. The 30 mins later I call Stephan's importer then 30 mins later I kill Digiguide.
