Any chance the Google Calendar STV Import will see any more work? I like the idea, but have a couple of problems. First off, I use Google Apps for Domains, so I don't hit my calendar at just https://www.google.com/calendar/ but at
https://www.google.com/calendar/hosted/(my domain)/.

The other problem I have is embedding the username/password into the properties file, which gets backed up and copied all over the place. That information is not just for your calendar but also for your gmail account. I hate the thought of it being in plaintext for everyone to see.

Of course, so far I can't get it to work at all on this test account I created. It just doesn't show any events. I'm not sure if it's even connecting to the account properly...

It'd be a shame if it's a dead end, as it's a great idea for a plugin. I'm always needing to check the calendar from the couch.

I wish it worked for the default STV. I have a busy schedule and it would help my family stay in the loop.

I was able to get it to work for the default STV. Unfortunately I no longer use the default STV and I do not remember how I got it to work. (not sure if it work out of the box or I had to tinker)

The Google Calendar plugin was my first attempt at a full blown plugin and I've learned a lot since then. If I revisit it, it will require a complete rebuild from the ground up (yeah it was that bad). The other issue is that flachbar wrote the java methods that actually interface with the Google Calendar API. Unfortunately he has retired from SageTV development for the foreseeable future.

I would like to revisit this plugin at some point, but I will have to recruit a java programmer to help. Also, if I do rewrite the plugin, it will most likely be written for Phoenix rather than SageMC.
