Id like to say thanks to the people in this thread. Using this info I was able to get my 2 hd-pvrs working on server 2008 R2. The only real issues I ran into were no 64 bit drivers for firewire channel changing. I have now switched to a MCE IR blaster. If anybody needs help trying to get a MCE ir blaster working I found some good info at these 2 links:
