Unhappy Folder support in video library??

I know this has been mentioned before, but as the final cut draws closer I still haven't seen folders implemented in the video library.
This is absolutely necessary as many of us have several hundred gigs of divx/xvid movies available in Sage. Having to scroll through dozens of files to find one is a real pain in the arse.
I can't imagine the fix for this being difficult at all.
Any word on this being put in???

Long time user, love the program,

KoolKat

AFAIK, 2.0 is now feature locked until release (not to say things won't be added in 2.1/2.2/etc.).

It's not in the new .15 beta release and I haven't seen any mention of it being in upcoming version for that matter. I don't think we're going to be seeing this anytime soon.

I too want this in a bad way...

Funny thing is that they did folder support for the picture module. The code is already written to support displaying them in the sub folders that they are in (I know you may want intellegent grouping but this is a start). I am hoping studio will give us the ability to use this int he library module as well.

Angry

Feature locked?? This is insane....something this simple yet so useful just has to be put in. It has been brought up months ago and many people wanted it. I just kept hearing....wait till 2.0...blah blah blah.

If anyone reading this wants this "feature", then please write a quick message in here

Yea I know, they have bigger fish to fry, but this is so insanely simple to implement.

They could just be waiting to release Studio, and let someone else implement it. UI stuff like this are supposed to be very easy to make with studio.

Don't ask me when studio will be released. I don't know the answer.

Yeah, but core functionality that MANY people want should NOT available via an 'add-on'. It should be in the main product.

I also wish that there was an option that the folders in Video Library as well as Sage Recordings could be replicated in the actual file system. The flat file system is terrible organization. This change would make it much easier to use the mediaMVP even without a client.

And the ability to specify one folder for livetv, favorites, etc and a second for the media library. Shows that I plan to keep long term are perfect candidates for compressing to Divx.

This would be a much appreciated feature. Any word from the SageTV people on when they're expecting to add this?

multiple episodes of a series are stored in their own folder

but it would be good to be able to define your own

m1ketuck, I think jominor means file system folders, not the "virtual" folders in sage.
