				Install location problems

You need to realize that not everyone installs applications on their C: drive. I was installing the .15 beta and it supposedly searched for installed apps, but didn't find my currently installed Sage on D:. If I hadn't caught it, it would have installed a completely new installation and I would have lost my preferences as well as currently recorded shows. IMHO, this is a serious flaw with the installer.

You would'nt have lost your prefs or recorded shows, you'd just have to move over your properties file, and wiz.bin and they'd all be back.

But does everyone know that? Every other piece of software I know of can tell where it's predecessor was already installed at. Sage should be able to do this as well by simply using a registry entry.

	Otherwise. I'm impressed with .15.

Yes, I've noticed that every time I install a new version & have filed a bug report on it for some previous beta version. You could always use the Bug Submission Form to bring it up again -- I almost always install apps in a non-standard location & most apps can find themselves for a reinstall/upgrade. I'm wondering if updating the install program is one of the last things to be done.
