Thanks!

This is pretty ethically questionable, but Best Buy carries the DWA-160 and has a relatively generous return policy... Their price isn't even that awful relative to online sites, although even the cheapest online prices for the DWA-160 are 4 times as much as the officially supported adapter.

By the way, if you're looking for a way to add wireless to the HD100, you should check out these Netgear bridges. For $50 you can get two reconditioned 5Ghz 802.11n bridges. I think its a particularly good deal if you don't already have a wireless-n AP. I'm not a huge fan of refurbished stuff, but I think its tough to complain about $50 and free shipping.

reggie14, I think we discussed this device on one of my previous posts (thanks again for your input!) I haven't taken the plunge into SageTV + HD200 using the Netgear 5Ghz wireless bridges as of yet. But I did purchased the set of 2 from buy.com new (http://www.buy.com/prod/netgear-wnhd...206763201.html) and then I found the refurb ones from buy.com for $34.24 shipped (http://www.buy.com/prod/netgear-wnhd...210817630.html) I was able to get all of them up and running, currently I'm only streaming SD related material to 2 of my Xbox's running XBMC and it has worked flawlessly so far!

I'd be curious about the performance of these vs the USB adapters that have been tested.

That's good that you were able to get them set up. I hate WPS (wifi protected setup), but the manual setup of the Netgear bridges is rather involved. I just added another bridge to my setup and it took me a while to remember how to setup the bridges without using WPS.

It's not completely clear. Sage claims that they get 40-50mbps out of the supported wifi adapter, but we don't know they they measured it. We talked about this in a different thread. They almost certainly used iperf, but again, we don't know what exactly what parameters they used. I ran iperf on my Netgear bridges (using computers at both end-points) and got 88mbps out of it. That's actually a bit faster than stanger got with the HD200 wired.

The usb wifi adapter probably isn't that fast, but its not clear if it matters. Wild speculation says the Netgear bridges might perform better in crowded environments, but there's no evidence to back that up. For all we know those bridges get really confused when there's a lot of interference (in fact, I think I read that somewhere).

Hey Reggie, I used the WPS to add my second Netgear bridge into the fold and it setup really quick. How come you don't like WPS?
