Seriously, thanks for that. I'll take a look at it when I get back from my business trip (stuck at the airport currently.. delayed 3 hours so far).

First of all, this is a really excellent plugin! Not only is is visually appealing and slick, it fixed my slow load problem with the default SageMC file system browser . Before I moved on from SageTV last time, I was using file system view to break up the massive TV library my nephew gave me because of the slow browsing speed. As I moved on, I was able to consolidate it into 1 again as I didn't have the speed problem with other programs. I was dreading having to reorganize it all again into multiple folders as I came back to SageTV. You saved me from having to do that!
However, I have 1 question. How do you quickly jump around the series list? I have over 700 series, so paging down to "T" is incredibly long. With the default SageMC browser, there is that bar to the right where you can jump by letters. In other programs, they map the number keys on the remote to letter for fast jumping. I tried both with TV Explorer and it doesn't seem to support this. Is there some mechanism for quick jumping? Thanks! Edit: I also have a small request. Is it possible to put the series name somewhere to the right of the DVD cover or anywhere? I really like the banners and prefer to use them but some of these baners its hard to tell what series it is. It'd be nice if the text series name showed up somewhere for easy view. Thanks again! Hi,
Another happy user with his list of suggestions and problems: - would be so nice to have 'Do not Like' button in TVE --- I am big fan of intelligent recording and like augmenting it's behaviour with my opinion - Looks like "sort by Season Episode" does not work or it is just my imagination -- regardless what I do episodes stay sorted by recording date. Especially visible with Simpsons (I have like 70 of them accumulated already :-) ) -are there any keyboa... I mean remote shortcuts I can use to ease navigation? razrsharpe, interface is really great, btw. Somehow takes me back to nineties, when every game was inventing it's very own interface, everyone was inventing a way to compactly present information in a way that is the best for given case/application. Like Deuteros -- that one was really unusual. Michael. |

info - cycles through some different info views (truncated description, long description, file info, airing info, actor info). Select and Play - can be configured to do different things depending on whats in focus... the options are in TVE Options somewhere (forget off the top of my head right now )

I would like to a bug report -- if you go to movies group, press enter, then press right and select smth on selector (that usually show year of recording/season number/etc) -- then there is no way back to group level -- it simply refuses to go. I have to press home button and reenter TVE again. %-) |

EDIT: you are referring to the "Movie" group correct? just reread your original post... I will have to double check that i cant say for sure if i have ever tested that with the "Movie" group.... it does work with the normal groups... and there really isnt anything special about the movie group....

Btw, I lied about dates -- they are very well in the past, so it is probably airing date as specified in EPG. Problem is that for some shows these dates have nothing todo with sequentiality of SxE numbering P.S. But otherwise -- awesome plugin! (don't take me wrong :-) ) |

Again, knowing the show and then seeing a screenshot or explanation of what TVE is showing you would go a long way. @razrsharpe: Just tell me to shut up if I'm interfering with your troubleshooting. I don't want to confuse the issue, like I did with the bug the OP found. (Which I finally had happen to me the next day, BTW...)

I have a feeling crusader must not *have* SxE data there to sort on. ?

Wrong... Found some time to look at it in more detail:
- I use BMT 3.0 for metadata - there are few cases when sorting by airing date leads to different order wrt SxE (or SxE metadata is wrong) - e.g. Martha Speaks show, few Simpsons, etc (actually not many) - I also have few Futurama disks in my video library -- TVExplorer picks them up as shows -- but airing date is same for all of them is 1900 :-); and subsequently order is wrong Well, I can't say problem is real bad -- but it is still there: - either BMT or EPG sometimes is wrong - shows from video library (stored as SxD, i.e. season+disk) do not have airing date and this leads to wrong sorting |
