not currently. TVE determines a recording's "Movie" status by looking at its category and there is no way to extend that. for v2 i could look at adding a custom grouping option that would enable one to create custom groups by whatever suits your fancy (groups of titles, certain channels, certain categories, etc). No promises because that sounds like it could be a bunch of work but it sounds useful enough that I'll look into it.

Razr, can the text on the banners be removed? I did reload the defaults before i took this. then i changed the settings to top-overlay which was the closest to what i was looking for.

ahhhh... that looks correct. I thought you were talking about the title text but you're actually talking about the watched count/date text? There is an option in TVE -> Browser -> Group Banner Height (or something similar) that controls how much of the cell is reserved for the banner (and conversely how much is left over for the text). I think if you set this to 1.0 it should do what you want (you may need to set the style to just top). I can't test this bc I'm not at home right now but will confirm tonight...

Just confirmed the settings you are looking for

TVEOptions -> Browser:
- Group Style: Top or Top Overlay
- Group Title Height: 1.0

that will give you what i think you are looking for...

razr,
worked perfectly! thanks!

I have a qq from the WAF front. is it possible to have the fanart only display above the recordings list, she finds it distracting when it crosses over the banners area and the episode area. Just thought i'd ask.

nope not possible right now.... one thing you could do is make the the background alpha more opaque... this will make the fanart less noticable, still there but less noticable (TVEOptions -> Browser -> Background Alpha -> larger number... 0 = transparent, 255 = opaque)

I had to use .99 for Group Title height instead of 1.0. But that works!

it wouldn't let you use 1.0? or you got errors in the log? or what? What happened when you set it to 1.0?

When I use 1.0, the shading goes all the way to the top of the banner instead of all the way down. The numbers are gone, but it still has the shaded overlay over the banner. Using .99 got rid of the overlay and numbers completely.

Same here. Or go to Reload TVExplorer. Both work.

That's because they both do the same thing ... Reload TVE is there to save some steps...

I have been hesitating on installing the new version of TVExplorer because of item 6 in the instructions. "Load an STV WITHOUT TVE installed. This is important. TVE will not import correctly if an earlier version exists." I am not sure exactly how to accomplish this as I only use SageMC. Can someone provide a bit more detail to this step?

As a relatively new SageTV user, TVExplorer and Movie Wall were the 2 add ons that made the move from BTV a no-brainer. Thanks for all the great work!
