Really High CPU in Sage When Running HDHomeRun to extenders

Recently I started to see high CPU usage in sage..

I had the grand plan today to clean up my PC by making a fresh partition installing windows and sage. As a starting point I installed sage and then imported(copied) the old sage folder into the one one.

At first I didnt install the hdhomerun or hdpvr drivers. I just played around with recorded shows. I didnt see any high CPU usage in sage. I added the hdhomerun drivers and started to record a few shows.

CPU bounced around but spent a lot of time at 50%. I looked through the properties file but was wondering if there is anything that would cause the PC to render video for the extender? I did see some settings to render video for the UI but wasnt sure if that could have anything to do with it.

My plan now is to go back and start with a fresh install but considering the original/new sage properties file is 13K and my old one was 60K merging stuff in isnt going to be that easy.

You should only have about 2-3% CPU usage with that. Anything else installed maybe messing things up?

What I ended up doing was reinstalling SageTV and bringing over the old sage properties. I had the same issues..

From there took a new sage properties and started to reconfigure from scratch. So far so good

I took winmerge to look at the diffs between the old and new sageproperties but there are too many to tell right now what the source of the problem could have been.
