verify network encoder function?

Is there a quick way to see if your sage server is seeing the network encoder(s)?

I currently use a sagetv HTPC in one room, and a HD1000 in the living room. I found myself wanting to watch TV in both rooms, and found that my 1600 card doesnt play well with others. So I installed my second tuner (a 2250) into another PC on my network and configured both per appendix G.

Trouble is, I cant tell if my server is actually seeing the network encoder or not. I try leaving the HTPC tuned to channel 2, and then go to the hd1000 and try to tune to another analog channel, and it tells me that there are no encoders available. Is the network encoder only good for records and not for watching live TV via placeshifter/media extender?

anyone care to enlighten this sageTV noob?

can't help you with the network encoder but....

Many people have other cards installed with their HVR1600. The key to adding a second Hauppauge card to a system is to run the HWClear.exe program before you install the second card. This will clear all drivers so that everything can be reinstalled once you have the second card in. Give that a try.

Thanks for the suggestion. Once I tried that driver scrubber and reapplied the drivers, it worked beautifully.

The bad news is my hd-100 extender just died, so its a moot point.
