how to change the 2 Hr recording default
I use Sage TV for Digital QAM pay channels that I get. About 28 channels in total.
I watch what others are watching and also live with the live pauses when viewers pause the shows for what ever reason. My only issue is that every 2 Hours the file stops and a new file is created. Is there any way that I can make a single recording longer than 2 hours. I have a limit of 40 GIG for my recoding directory. I ususally just scan the channels or leave it on a popular pay channel and let it record. I hope this makes sense. Sorry I'm new with Sage TV. I used Win TV for the longest time but had enough of the daily crashes.

no guide I dont use a guide at all
I manually enter in the channels.
such as 79-0-3 / 79-0-4 / 79-0-5 and so on all the way to 81-0-10 I just pick a channel and wait for something to start. Once it starts the recording will go on for 2 hours but many times its a movie after a movie. I could manually asked it to record more than 2 hours but I cant bothered I rather change the default to something like 4-6 hours. Quote:

Use Schedule Recordings -> Create Timed Recording instead of the Record command to specify a recording length for channels w/o EPG data.
Or, once the Manual recording has been started, use the Record command on the airing again in the Program Guide (it will be listed as a 2 hour block of No Data), choose Adjust Recording Options, then use Adjust Stop Time. - Andy
