WINTV-HVR-950Q No signal - USED TO WORK :(
Essentially I had it working but I had the choice between "rogers bla bal Digital " or "rogers bla bla "
I took the digital, but even after scanning I couldn't get most channels so I got aggrevated and decided to try the other so I removed the tuner and tried the other that's when things went wrong... OK: Let's get down to the facts... -windows xp sp 2 -I Used to have it working -It works in WINTV -When I try to play a channel in sage it says NO SIGNAL - I'm not sure which one of two providers I want to use for programing.... because they look almost exactly the same... one says digital but it's missing mad channels the other doesn't say anything and has all the channels... - If I scan for channels I find none. - It recognizes my card but I never see a preview. - I have IR running for the remote Please help me, Thanks. |

Curious to know if you got this to work because i am having the same issue. My 950q used to work for a month then... out of no where it stopped and I havent been able to get it working again... even bought a second one thinking maybe an electrical spike may have taken it out somehow....

Try Original software
Hi there,
I'm trying to get SageTV to work with my WINTV-PVR-950Q. I have some problems displaying NTSC (analog) closed caption. Anyway, try using the original software WINTV7 or Media Center to view ATSC channels. If that does work, it's problem with the SageTV configuration. Robert |

win 7 and 950q playback errors
i just upgraded my dell with windows 7. my tuner 950Q does not seem to work in the latest version of Sage. I'm getting a playback error - make sure drivers are updated. They are and it works in WinTV 7. Any recent users have luck with HVR-950q

Every now and then mine has a problem, but rebooting seems to fix it. I assume you've tried that to no avail?

Having a problem with my 950 also.
Lost my 950 about 2 months ago. Having other tuners on sage, I put it away. since I have more time I have been playing with it and getting nowhere. I can't re-install it as it is not in Sage setup screen. It is in sage properties, OK in Device Manager and WINTV ver 6 (I believe as VOYAGER is installed there). Having other Hauppage tuners on and working, I'm hesident on re-installing as I don't want to mess the others up. Also puttig WINTV 7 on. I guess my question here is, would playing around in WINTV mess up my Sage properties? I can't seem to find the installation HowTos on the site as I taught I seen them before. Any help ? D/Led latest drivers (from Microsoft optional update) and everything came back. Didn't have to run SETUP. Usually don't pay attention to optional ones.
