Just wanted to know what is a good Bluray ripping software to go along with anydvd hd? Or is Clone DVD my only option? Thanks.

AnyDVD HD is a Blu-ray ripping software. You don't need anything else unless you want to eleminate unwanted audio/video tracks or build your own supplemental audio tracks.

Thanks for the reply. So just to confirm, Anydvd hd will only copy the entire movie? it will not allow me to take out the menu or de-select certain audio tracks? If this is the case is there any other burning software (that can rip bluray) that would allow me to remove menus and audio tracks?

Well if you have AnyDVD running, you can use about anything. For example TSMuxer can rebuild a BD without menus/extras and only the desired audio/video streams. TSMuxer can't decrypt though, which is why you need AnyDVD running.

Yes, identical to disc but wo copy protection.

I use BDInfo, which reveals the playlist data, and tsMuxer, which lets you select video/audio tracks to keep and assembles them into Blu-ray Disc structure.

If I need AC3 audio and the disc doesn't have it, I use eac3to to convert the DTS-HD or DTS track to AC3.

BDInfo, tsMuxer and eac3to are all freeware.

ClownBD works fairly well (it uses/calls tsMuxer and eac3to) and some swear by it, but I have had some problems with audio sync useing ClownBD, so I stay away from it for now.

I don't think so. I still use DVDShrink for that, but don't actually shrink the file. AnyDVD disables copy protetion from DVDs, allowing you to use the ripper of your choice.

Has anyone tried DVDFAB free edition that was released on may 19 2009. It says it now has bluray ripping capabilities. I used the previous version of dvdfab free to rip dvds and it worked great.

You can trial the Blue Ray option for 30 days. You will need to purchase the product for it to continue to work.

Thanks for the link. Just wondering though on the dvdfab website it says the free version has been updated and is able to rip bluray movies. This was as of may 19, 2009. Are you saying that it is only free for 30 days? I am a little confused.

For Blu-ray, yes. Free trial period is 30 days. Don't know about the DVD part.

Really? When did they add that? I've been using AnyDVD for a few months now and that only seemed available for DVD's, not Blu-rays. Maybe I just overlooked the functionality.

Yes there is an option to remove adverts/trailers under the bluray settings. However there is no option to remove the menu. There is a option to remove the menu under the dvd setting.

Doesn't that just disable the PUOs or whatever, more of a "skip" than a "remove"? I assume it still rips everything.
