Interesting use of Previous Channel

Now that I've got my MX-700 working with SageTV (replacing the Hauppauge remote, but still using the Hauppauge software with many more SageTV commands available... more on that in a later post), I've noticed an interesting use of the Previous Channel command. Some/many of you may already know this, but it is new to me since I always thought it was just for the previous live tv channel...

If I start playing a recording, go back to the recording list & start another one, Previous Channel will switch between them. This makes it an easy workaround for setting up 2 shows in a row for my kids -- when the first one is at the credits, hit PC & let the other one play.

I hope I'm not the last one to know this...

Good find. I'll have to try that.

I am looking through my SageTV 1.4 manual on pages 10 - 12, but cannot find a command for Previous Channel.

Where is it documented?

Thanks,

Wolfgang

Uh oh... wasn't there a Previous Channel command in v1.4? I only posted it here instead of the beta forum since I thought it was in all versions. For version 1.4, if you open the detailed setup window, isn't there a Prev Chan command to map a keystroke to?

Edit: see page 34 of the v1.4 manual for command assignments. Sorry to have posted this here if it isn't listed in that dialog.

Andy I noticed this today as well when playing music. If you start a song, and then select another it will jump back. Likewise, if you start a song, then go and watch tv, it will again jump back to the last song.
