Disabling a tuner in SageTV while my hdhomerun is in the shop

I am having issues with my hdhomerun, the power light does not come on. I am shipping it back to hdhomerun, is there is a way to disable the device in sage without fully removing it? I know I have some custom channel mappings etc.

In sage it says 'Functioning:True'

Can I disable this so that it doesnt use this recorder for the time being?

I removed a source before and was able to add it back in without any problems. There was, however, another tuner using that exact same lineup, which may be why Sage kept it unchanged. Another solution would be to simply disable all channels. This way, you keep your lineup but Sage is not going to record anything since there is no channel available it could record from.

^interesting. I found the same thing and was pleased and surprised when it came back intact. But now I'm not sure if something else was holding the configs. Disabling all channels is a better idea if most of the lineup is actually available. In my case the OTA lineup isn't so remove source is what I did. A rescan for digi channels is pretty quick however.

If you are using the HDHR for QAM tuning, then you can remove the source and add it back easily because Sage uses the SCN file created by the HDHR setup software. Removing the tuner will not modify or delete that SCN file. So when you add the tuner back, Sage will just reread the SCN file and get the channel line up from that.

If you are using it for ATSC, then you may have to rescan the channels when you add the tuner back, but that shouldn't be a problem IMHO.
