CPU Usage seems too high
I need a little help please. I have recently uninstalled and reinstalled SageTV becuase of many WAF issues and it was constantly abruptly closing. Things seem to be fixed now, which is great, but I noticed one thing last night.
I was watching a recorded show that was made from the HDPVR (H.264) with analog sound (no optical cable hooked up). The default settings for sage had VMR chosen. I was looking at the CPU usage and it was in the 50-70 percent. That seemed high as I have a graphics card with onboard decoding. I messed around and changed the VMR to Overlay and the CPU usage immediately went down to 2-4 percent (which is what I would have expected). It seems like there is something a miss with Sage and it's not recognizing the hardware properly. Any ideas? The drivers being used were the ArcSoft ones for MPEG and H.264. Sound was all set to default. |
