A few potential bugs.. anyone else confirm before i submit them
Ok, i've been playing with the latest version and have come across a few things
i) the delete bug is still there, as in shows dont get deleted.. its one i've not yet tracked down but whilst the background video mode was on, i tried deleting a show in the archived shows from sage in the library, and it just wouldn't delete.. I've since turned that mode off and managed to delete that and other shows so i'm not sure on how to reproduce this yet ii) General performance with the background video overlay and the other overlay option that makes the onscreen stuff totally transparent is very poor on my box.. i'd get a lot of jerking framerates including one everytime opera displayed its email message recieved pop up in the bottom right corner... this consipred with the fact that keyboard inputs get queued up means its pretty much unuseable as fast forwarding skips 5 mins over where you want.. much as i like the look of the video in the background the fact that it slows things down so much has meant i've gone back to a small window, and turned off the chroma key overlay stuff, everything is a lot better now iii) when fast forwarding with my desktop in 960x540 widescreen for my projector the screen snaps back to 4:3 aspect ratio for every fast forward.. I've managed to get it stuck in this mode too, as in it was 4:3... going back via home and back into video fixed it iv) if you change resolution whilst Sage sleeps and open it again the whole UI is garbled.. once i had a missing bottom inch on the bottom of the display, it just happened now and was garbled with bizarre backwards characters in place On the whole tho with the overlay transparency turned off its similar to previous version with the added fixes... anyone else getting really bad performance with this mode? This is all via SageTVClient btw Spec: AMD XP2100 512meg memory ASUS a7v333 motherboard Radeon 9000 graphics card Soundblaster live Value (kx drivers) Nvidia video/audio filters Windows 2000 (tried with reclock as my audio renderer seemed ok) |
