Why does my sage .14 freak out :(

Every 12 hours or so, my sage freaks out. It goes to 99% CPU usage (while sleeping mind you) and brings my entire system to a hault. What is it trying to do, and how do I stop it?

If it had been every 24 hours, I might suggest that it was the EPG getting updated and affecting IR & so on, but I'm not sure what it might do at 12 hour intervals.

Yes. I open task manager and it is pegged at 99% on sage TV. I kill sageTV, and everything is good.

Here is part of my "log", sorry it is so long. Any ideas from here? I killed it at the end of it.

LOG (~500KB)

I am getting some Java errors, I have the newest java SDK, so that shouldn't be the problem.

Edit - I am not using IR. It is sitting here right on my PC, and it happens randomly. I checked if it was related to the schedule update, but it is not.

Regarding your comment here... does that card really work? In your log, I see a nearly endless supply of the following comment:

SEEKER HAS DETECTED A HALT IN THE ENCODER...TRYING TO RESET IT

Others have reported this error too, but I don't know if there was a resolution. Could this be your problem?

Humm

I never had problems before.

However, I wouldn't be suprised if the card is overheating in there. That could cause something like this I imagine.

Edit - it did it again, and none of those restarting notes were there.

What Java errors are you getting? Do you have more than one version of SDK installed? I had problems with mine and that was the issue - apparently Java install does NOT remove older version upon install of new ones, and they do not play well together with Sage when more than one on a machine. Just something to check out...
