How do I add a whole folder to the now playing queue?

I have been using SageTV for a couple of years, but I just installed SageMC for the first time last week.

I like it so far, but I can't figure out how to add entire music folders to the now playing queue.

In the default SageTV interface when I would select a folder it would ask me if I wanted to browse the folder, play it now, add it to a playlist, etc, but with SageMC I don't see this menu.

How do I play an entire folder instead of individual songs?

Is there a setting that I can change so that it will ask me if I want to browse the folder or play the songs when I select a folder of music?

I'm not sure what you mean.

Are you trying to play an album or something? Normally, i can just hit the play button on the remote and it will start playing the entire album.

You could also create a playlist.

Here is a better description of what I am trying to figure out.

The ID3 tags on the MP3's in my library are mess which makes it hard for me to browese my library by album or artist. t is easier for me to sort the library by Folder.

The problem that I have is that when you select "View by Folder" The options for "Add to Queue" and "Add to Playlist" do not show up for each folder like they do when you "View by album" or "View by artist".


I can only get options to add to playlist or add to queue for individual songs which makes it pretty hard to build playlists.

Is there a setting that I can change that will give me the "add to queue" menu item for folder view?

I can browse to a folder, then hit "Play" on my remote and the whole folder will be added to the queue. But then if I select another folder and hit Play again, the songs in the new folder replace the songs in the queue when I want them to be added to the queue in addition to the songs already there.

I hope that this description makes more sense.

A related question: Does anyone know of a free tool that can re-assign the ID3 tags on my MP3 files based on the folder that they are in? It seems like that would be one way to fix my problem.
