A couple of questions

1st: Is there anyway to prevent the text from doing the "fading effect"? I am using overlay and have the transparent menus off, so they are blue but now I see the "fading effect" which I want to turn off. If anyone knows how to accomplish this please let me know.

2nd: I just purchased a SageTV client license. However I can't seem to get it to work. Like I stated above I have my server setup to Overlay and I am I using the Cyberlink Decoder. When I try and watch livetv on the client I get an Mpeg2 Overlay error. Anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks alot in advance.
Kevin

About 1 I'm not sure what "fading effect" you're talking about.

2, Do you have a decoder installed on the client? Are you using a secondary monitor?

The fading menu effect is where every time you switch to a new menu, the old one is still visible underneath the new one & it incrementally fades out as you do things like move the cursor to other buttons on the new menu screen. It has been mentioned a bit in other threads lately. I've seen it when I try to use VMR9 with 3D acceleration on -- try turning 3d accel off. Currently, my client has the renderer se to overlay, filter set to default, and ed accel enabled -- w/o any menu fading and with video backgrounds on... and I can move the SageTV window to either the primary or secondary monitor.

OH - I just tried turning Overlay Color Keying off & the fading menus problem returned. So, try enabling that setting again... unless you simply don't like the transparent look?
