Any way to add my description to imported media files?

When I browse recorded media sagetv retain the program guide data's description so I can read about some clip before I watch it.

Is there a way I can add descriptions to imported media videos?

Like if I want to write some text to describe the synopsis of a movie file for example?

Is there any way at all?

I've got the same question, basically.

I know the playlist can be sorted or filtered, but can it be edited or tagged?

For instance, can I add a tag to some of my recorded programs called "Carole's shows" and add a tag to other programs called "My shows"?

There's a few options depending on where the data is coming from and how you want to get it in there.

Thanks, stanger89. I'm going to try the webserver -- looks like a good customization.

It appears the stuckless program grabs metadata stuff of the web for imported DVD's. I'll have more recorded tv shows that I want to add my own custom tags to, so I don't think that one is for me.

You could always manually create .properties files for your recordings.

Sage should then import those when it does an import media refresh.

The following thread should help give you an idea. The thread specifically says for imported DVD's but I think it will work for all recordings.
