(maybe you can just see the mast, that is fine, you just need to be able to "see" the bottom antenna on the mast for you OTA results to be 100%) At 20+ binoculars are prolly needed to see ESB from that distance, but it never hurts to ask either!
Need to know what antenna you have for starters, that would answer a lot and how it is installed...
Well New York City is a long way from Idaho in more ways than one. My Fox station is in Boise. We can see for quite a ways from the mountain tops, but...

My existing antenna is a Terk TV50 in the attic. I purchased a Winegard 7694P and will be putting it in the attic this weekend. I am in a two story with a steep architectural composition tile roof so I am hoping it does not block much. The towers are about 14 miles away.

Opps.

Did not see that you were not the one who posted his tvfool results. The 7694P is a great antenna, I would expect an improvement in your situation. If you about 14 miles from the towers, no amp is needed (or wanted, as it would overload either itself or the tuners) and I would expect even with heavy attic signal losses that it should work out. (this is just general info, since I do not have your tvfool data)
