HDHR New Driver Heavy CPU Usage
Anyone else experiencing this?
Since installing the 4/15 drivers from Silicondust, my CPU usage when recording from the HDHR has gone up dramatically. I'm seeing 100% CPU usage recording 2 shows on the HDHR. SageTV Service is showing about 20-40% and "System" is showing as much as 45-50%. This is why I suspect the problem may be in the drivers. And yes, I did check the obvious and my disk drives did not revert to PIO mode. Previously the same situation wouldn't show more than about 30% on the same machine. Granted my system isn't the fastest thing on any number of legs, but it's been more than adequate up until these drivers. Seems to work ok but it's totally eating the machine alive.
