The option to save a screen capture is great for shows that don't have artwork online (or much of it.) at least I can capture a shot of the title frame or something. HOwever, I have to convert it to JPG for it to get picked up.

If this is correct, would it be possible to add PNG suppport? Alternatively, I can cover them to JPG (not very many of them, and I wouldn't be doing it all the time).
I've just tried this and mine save's the file as a .jpg and works as soon as I click capture screenshot as fanart. Not sure why yours would be saving it as a png. You maybe better off posting this in the SageMC bugs section as these are handled by SageMC options and not my import.

yeah, weird. I assumed that they were all saved as a PNG. Maybe I missed a setting someplace to save as JPG.

I'll go look for it, then ask for help elsewhere if needed.

I did a bit more testing and placed a .png in a tv show fanart folder and it doesn't load the image. So on this basis I'd say that the phoenix fanart api doesn't support .png's, but thats someting you'd need to ask Stuckless about.
It still doesn't explain why yours saves the image as a png and mine does jpg's, I haven't changed any settings for this feature and it was the first time I tired it today.

Wow, this is really cool!
2: requests
could you have the ORIGINAL air date displayed in the info screen?
I usually like to watch shows in the order in which they aired.
Also could you have the text size for the episode description adjustable for size like the other fonts? it's currently too small to read on my tv.

thanks for the coolest plugin I've seen in a while!

for me at least the aired on date is showing when the show was recorded. not it's original airing date. The default sageMC stv show this info under the details.

also the text size I meant was the "description" box just above the episode lists.

thanks!!!!!!

I think the original show recording and original air date are the same thing, but I'll check it out and see what I can do.

See Screenshot.

Edit:

As far as I can tell the original show recording and original show date are the same thing, just tried this with my limited TV recordings. Can you show me a screenshot of the differences your noticing between the two? It should be easy enough to add another line if they are indeed different.

You probably need to look at something that wasn't recorded as a First Run. Like an old Law and Order episode. One I recorded last week (4/19) but originally aired 9/21/94.

OK here is an example using "Hogan's Heroes"

original air date was 1970

and I just didn't realize there were more font choices on the options menu!
thanks!

Something like this (see screenshot). Its easy when I can see what you mean Hopefully this will work ok for you in the next release but what I had is the best example I could find.

I'm a big fan of Malore's multi-pane recording menu view but for some reason, when I enter the details of the recording, I don't see any fan art. However, when I use the SageMC default recording views and then dive into details, I do see fan art.

So this plugin replaces the grouped view of Sage Recordings? But it looks like all the screen shots are of a specific group, what does the index of all the groups look like?

Don't know if this is possible. But LOVE what i'm seeing (though haven't had a chance to try it yet). Could you make it so you can see the background (making the text disappear)?

When using fan art, sometimes the text blocks some of the picture and I wonder how the fan art looks.

Here are 2 things I like to see:

1) I would like to see a pause before text fades in
2) Would like a button or such to make the text disappear to see the fan art without distraction.

Just thought it would be cool but not needed.

I'm not sure what you mean but I've attached a screenshot of what the default Sagemc screen looks like before you enter into my screen. I also plan on making a change to this screen(screenshot screen) and removing all the grouped recordings, adding another button which links to another new screen which only displays grouped recordings (TV series in effect). These won't be labeled with text but with the banner art work instead (text if no image is available). So basically recordings will be slpit into two parts, Single and TV series.

Sounds interesting, purley fluff but I like the idea. I'll see what I can come up with. Not sure about the pause as buttons are limited but I'll have a go at that as well. It maybe easier to just have an on/off button for making the screen items invisible, this could also incorporate a four button push process with one push of the button setting the alpha to 25%, two pushes 50% etc.

Are you downloading the banners yourself?

I'm using bmt and it doesn't seem to grab banners.

The very latest BMT supports banners but I've not tried this myself as I already have all the banners I need.

I've never seen this option, where is it normally? I looked at the default SageMC grouped recordings screen and don't see the option there.

Oki, Thanks, I see it now. It doesn't actually belong in this screen but due to the way the import works you cannot get to the next screen which has this option. I'll take a quick look at adding it to the options but I don't think it will work out too well. You may just have to disable my import and make the changes then enable it afterwards if you want to. You can also change the filter in the previous screen to sort by date, make the changes then change the filter back to grouped so you can return to my screen.
