Freezing for 3-15 seconds is probably not decoder related. Locking hard often is. Does your hard drive go crazy during this freeze?

Not that I can tell. The HD light is lit solidly, but I am recording...

Now, I just hada a CRAZY freeze happened. After 35 seconds of freezing, I went back to try to play the same file, still froze. Tried to paly a different file, same thing. I COULD fast forward, but it was still a frozen frame. Same with rewind. NO motion or sound. I ended up putting sage to sleep, and waking it back up to get it working again.

I feel this is most likely an easy fix, as it seems to happen close to every 30-25 minutes.

Submit your logs and system information. They need to be able to recreate it to fix it. I don't want to have this happen to me later .

Hey, thanks! I thought I tried every combination, but using the DirectSound renderer works perfect!

oooh, Don't try remapping channels while watching one of them. Caused Sage to freeze up, then stutter.
