Help SageTV Properties and DVB Dream

In the instructions for allowing Sage to recognize a DVB-S card, the instructions say to insert a bunch of lines provided in the module instructions after the last line in the Sage.properties file where mmc/encoders is present.

See Step 3 C&P below

"3. Copy the following lines into the Sage.properties file immediately after the last line that starts with "mmc/encoders..."

The problem is that I don't have any lines in the Sage.properties file that says mmc/encoders.

Any thoughts on this ?

I resolved this. The file name is Sage not Sage.Properties. I was accidentally updating the backup file that was being overwritten every time I ran Sage.

Once I edited the correct file everything worked fine.

The properties file name really is Sage.properties.

If you see that file listed in Windows Explorer as simply "Sage", then you have extensions turned off & should turn them on if you want to see the real extension for files.

That issue is covered in this FAQ:
How do I edit the properties file? The settings don't change when I change them.
